I just posted a question about curtains and did introduce myself as a new member but thought I'd do it here better I'm in Southern Ontario, Canada, and I've loved country decor (and country music) since I was in my early 20's in England where I grew up....I'm much older than that now....and I'm gradually getting my husband into anything country/primitive...but I have to take it slow!!
I've been buying Country Sampler magazine on & off for some years.....I went through my pile of them and find the first one I bought was Aug/Sept. 1989. I love to browse the market place and get ideas & tips from the homes/rooms that are decorated for us!!
I have been somewhat disappointed with some "country" stores I've been to both here in Ontario and in the U.S. to find that a majority of, if not all the items, are made in China! I know, I know, lol! there are lots of places in C.S. Magazaine where I can order homemade items but when I find a store that sells the kinds of country items I love it's sad to find they aren't made in North America. Just my opinion and please forgive me if I've overstepped the boundary of post etiquette, I do not mean or want to offend anyone.

Welcome!!!!! You are going to like it here, so much to see. Enjoy!! You are right...unfortunately, so many things in the country stores, have things in them, that are made in China....that's where our little hands come into play...going to thrift stores, making over things and furniture.....just look on this site and you will see how handy some of us are. Again..... WELCOME.
