I have managed to get a few things done~halfway. LOL! I'm still tweaking and I hope to get some other things done this weekend. The white birdcage I LOVE, but it's too white, so I'll be painting it barn red. Still haven't figured out what to hang from the quilt part, so it's pretty bare still. I placed Donna's little heart makedo in a bowl with a bunny on my cupboard! Love that heart! Thanks again Donna!

I am also thinking I need a garland up there. What do you all think?

I think it goes great with that bunny!  I love that little mammie doll up on the left side door. She is too cute.  My DH just made me a stepback cupboard last week. I have a few things on it, but I still need to do some tweaking of my own. I made a spring arrangment this morning for my front hall. I'm happy with it.  I will post some pics when I get a chance.  I'm such a picture taking slacker.  I take plenty, just hate editing and resizing them to post.

Where were you thinking about putting the garland?  I think a rag garland would look great.

Glad you like the heart.

Donna

You like her? Me too, I made her awhile back! She doesn't have any legs! I can't wait to see the cupboard your DH made you! How thrilling! Did you paint it? I have to figure out how to keep that door open a bit more, it always wants to close more than the other side, not sure why. I haven't figured out what to put in that metal rack, but I love it. I was thinking about a garland there at the top where the wheelbarrow and stuff is at. Do you think it's a little bare?

The only rag garland I have is the one I made for my tree~ hmm... but it's red too. I would have to make a different one, I wasn't thinking about that, but it's a good idea.

Gardengal, I love how you have displayed every thing. Your cupboard looks like it belongs in a nice little primitive  shop. Awesome job

Well I hadn't thought about a garland on the black shelf either! LOL! I did get the first coat of primer painted on the birdcage, so once it's dry I'll repeat the process and then paint it with the red.

You know, I just realized, I forgot to take down one of my extension cords, so I'll have to do that. What can you see going in the tin rack? I think it's a spice rack, I have had it for a number of years, I used to keep alot of my Aunt Jemima things in it, but was thinking maybe time for something else, but not sure what.

You sweetheart you! LOL! I sure do feel like one sometimes, but I did get that birdcage done, it's totally drying now, so I can place it in it's place tomorrow. I also made a osnaburg make-do curtain of sorts for that other red cupboard I have. I have to hang it~ I'm thinking nails and just tie it on. I'll show you all, see what you think.

Well, let's see if this works. My computer has been kinda doing weird things lately. I posted a before and after photo (hopefully) of the cupboard I made a make-do curtain, what do you think, with or without? I also painted the birdcage and I really like it red. Haven't gotten much else done though.

Everything looks great!  I still love that church and oh, that bear is soo cute.  Did you make him?

I don't think you are a slacker OR a hoarder.  I think you are too hard on yourself!  Oh, and the too much material is called a stash!!!!  I think everyone who sews has that issue.

I vote for the curtain.  My grandma had a curtain like that on her clothes closet.

Thank you ladies! Oh Cindy, I guess you're right! It's too much temptation going into those places!

Also, I didn't make that bear, but I want to try to make another one like him. I know I just LOVE him! He's one of my favorites, I got him at one of the few good shows that are here in the fall. I bought some berber type fabric to try and duplicate one. I have made bears before, but out of muslin or osnaburg, and I painted them. Sadly, I don't have a one of them left, that was before I learned to keep at least one of everything I make.

One thing at a time right? LOL!

I guess we should know we most likely won't EVER do all the things we'd like to, but I am sure having fun trying! LOL!

You like the curtain? I do too, I thought at first may be it might take away from the cupboard, but I really like it the more I look at it.  Sometimes you know you have an idea and then you try it, and well, it doesn't look exactly like you thought.

I have a few things I REALLY want to get done, but it seems like DH and I haven't been together long enough to do them. Hopefully soon though. I just won't speak it.
