I have been going thru some material in my stash to make pillow cases for the million pillow case challenge.  A lot of the quilt stores around here are participating.  The pillow cases are to go to nursing homes, children's hospitals, VA hospitals, foster children etc...  I have mostly children's prints.  Here is the link for the cause.

One lady in our group that meets monthly at the library has made (or as of last week) 8 dozen pillowcases.  Wow!

That's a cool idea Scrappy.  I love the idea of the kids prints for pillowcases.  You'll have to post pictures of yours...

What a great way to use up fabric you no longer need. And to use up smaller pieces of fabric...you could make  some  out of patches.

Here's what the one I made today looks like.  Not a very good shot of it, but you get the idea.

I have also made a Minnie Mouse, Dinosaur, Doggie Bones, and Frog one.  I may have enough material to make another one of the kitty ones.

So Cindy, how many pillow cases did you end up making?

Donna, I am thinking I made about 10 or 12.  Not sure how many our group ended up with either.  I haven't heard lately.  Need to try to remember to check.
