Thank you Oreo! Can't take ALL the credit though, DH helped me get the mirrors on so they would be lined up with the top drawers. I wanted the middle of the mirror to be in the middle of the drawer so it would look right with them apart instead of together.
Yeah I posted it on my blog and yes it was brown. Here ya go, here's a before of the dresser.

Rose, it looks very good! I know I'm the odd man out here, but I still liked the other mirror. Glad you got it finished.

Thank you everyone!!!!
YOU helped to!!!
I ALSO liked the other mirror better BUT the reason I went with this one, first off, there was soooo many votes for this one. Second off, when who ever it was pointed out to me that the other mirror made it look traditional and I started really looking at it then and it did! I hadn't saw that before she pointed it out. It's an antique dresser so I wanted it to look like that. So you all helped me make up my mind and I sure do appreciate it. Sometimes things can be as plain as the nose on your face and you STILL miss it. That's me, I do that all the time.

Thank you Deborah and Lucy!
all I did Lucy was sand it really well so it's not shiny. I used my hand palm sander to sand it with. LOVE THAT THING! Then I wiped it really well with a damp cloth to get the saw dust off of it and then let that dry. Then I primed it with some primer. The primer, paint, and varnish needs to be all water base paint or either they all need to be all oil based because you can't use water base primer or varnish and then oil base varnish. They all have to be the same, which ever one you choose. I always use water base. I let the primed furniture sit for several hours to dry before I paint it. Then I put on two coats of paint, letting each coat dry before I add the other one. Then after the second coat of paint I let it sit for a day or so or sometimes even more before I add the varnish. I usually put 2 coats of varnish but didn't this time because I did it a little thick.
Then let it sit for a week or more before you use it someone on here told me. My chest has been sitting empty for months. lol
